A local high school band - invited to march in the National Independence Day Parade in our nation's capitol. It's a high honor and the chance of a lifetime. Sending the entire band to Washington DC, though, would cost nearly $80,000.
Tonight on News First at 10pm, reporter David Tauchen tells the story of both friends and perfect strangers stepping in to help make their July 4th dream come true.
Once the Gazette ran a story about the Trinidad High School band's incredible invite, donations started pouring in. David Tauchen talks with one woman who has no connection to the town, the school, the students, or the band, yet worked to raise more than $2,000 for them!
