Pueblo County pitcher wins "Athlete of the Week" honors

Softball pitcher Yolanda Montano from Pueblo County is this week’s “Loaf ‘N Jug High School Athlete of the Week.”

The 17-year-old Montano, who has been playing softball since she was nine, is second in the South Central League in strikeouts with 73 and second with an earned run average of 1.98. But her best statistic may be 3.4 which is her grade point average.
