The summer games in Beijing are just a few months away and the activity at the Olympic Training Center is picking up.
One of the United States' top men's swimmers, Ryan Lochte, has been training in Colorado Springs the past few days.
Lochte won a gold at the 2004 games on the same four-by-two freestyle relay team as Michael Phelps. Lochte also won silver in the 200 individual medley, only second to Phelps.
While Phelps continues to get all the media coverage, Lochte says that's a good thing. It just means fewer distractions for him.
“Michael does basically all the attention,” said Lochte. “I've had so many press conferences with him where all the questions are to him and I get one. I love it.”
Lochte set the world record in the 200 meter backstroke last year, so look for him to make some noise in Beijing, if he makes the U.S. Olympic Team as expected.
Michael Phelps was also at the OTC, but he declined our interview request.
