Porcupine art sold for $500

He's no Picasso, but a porcupine at the Pueblo zoo is getting a lot of attention these days for his artwork.
Ziggy the porcupine paints portraits. He doesn't use a paintbrush, Ziggy steps on paint and then uses his feet to spread it around a blank canvas.
The zookeepers entice Ziggy with bananas, yams and other treats to get him to paint.
"Sometimes you might have sticks in the paint with Ziggy or parts of food, dirt, parts of straw. Each time we try to use a variety of colors, so its up to Ziggy whatever comes out," said Sunny Davis, marketing coordinator for the Pueblo zoo.
The zoo says the paint is non-toxic and washes off.
A Pueblo family tells News First 5/30 they paid $500 for one of Ziggy's paintings.
