The star of the Beijing Olympics, Michael Phelps, will host the season premiere of Saturday Night Live on Sept. 13.

It will be Phelps' acting debut. Phelps has been in the national spotlight since winning eight gold medals in swimming.

The show will also feature musical guest Lil' Wayne, whom Phelps famously listened to on his iPod before hitting the pool in his medal-winning races.

This will be SNL's 34th season.
