A company with a technology to construct low-cost solar panels will build a production facility in Longmont.
Fort Collins-based AVA Solar says it's developed an advanced thin-film photovoltaic module technology for solar panels. It said Thursday it received the equity financing from private sources.
AVA Solar is a Colorado State University spinoff. The new plant is designed to have the capacity to produce 200 megawatts of photovoltaic modules every year.
