Millions of credit card numbers stolen from popular stores

The Justice Department has announced charges filed against 11 people allegedly involved in the hacking of nine major U.S. retailers, including two based in Colorado, and the theft and sale of more than 40 million credit and debit card numbers.
The scheme is believed to represent the largest hacking and identity theft case ever prosecuted by the Justice Department.
The charges include conspiracy, computer intrusion, fraud and identity theft.
The indictment alleges that the suspects hacked into the wireless computer networks of major retailers including Boston Market, Sports Authority, TJX Companies, BJ's Wholesale Club, OfficeMax, Barnes & Noble, Forever 21 and DSW.
Sports Authority is based in Englewood. Boston Market's headquarters are in Golden.
