Colorado Springs officials are worried that Hewlett-Packard could cut some of its 1,800 employees in their city when it opens new operations elsewhere. The company said Thursday it would open customer service and technical support centers in Arkansas and New Mexico.
Colorado Springs had been under consideration but was passed over. Hewlett-Packard says it hasn't determined what effect the new operations will have on Colorado Springs, where it already has a technical and customer support call center.
Worried employees have been contacting News First for weeks, expressing concern over their jobs.
