A tragic story out of Westcliffe. 16-year old Landon Dillard was killed by lightning Thursday.

It happened about 15 miles east of Westcliffe on Road 271. Landon Dillard was riding bikes with his friends when he was struck.

The custer county sheriff's office says he died instantly.

Dillard is from Georgia. He was in Custer County working at a Christian Youth Camp.
