Sticker shock for holiday air travel

The days of cheap air fares appear to be over. Just as gas and food prices have gone up, air fares are soaring higher than the clouds.
If you're planning on a family get-together for Thanksgiving or Christmas, expect to pay 30 percent more for your airline ticket than last year.
In addition to higher jet fuel costs, airlines are slashing flights and routes to try to regain profitability.
