Clay Aiken welcomes baby boy

Former "American Idol" contestant Clay Aiken became a dad Friday morning when his friend and music producer Jaymes Foster gave birth to a baby boy.
Aiken announced the arrival of Parker Foster Aiken with a statement on his Web site.
"My dear friend, Jaymes, and I are so excited," Aiken wrote. "Wow ... 8:08 ... 08/08/08. The little man is healthy, happy and as loud as his daddy. Mama Jaymes is doing quite well also."
Baby Parker weighed in at 6 pounds, 2 ounces and is 19 inches long.
Aiken's representative confirmed to People magazine in May that Foster was artificially inseminated. The magazine's Web site says that the two are not romantically linked but they plan to raise the child together. Aiken met Foster when he competed on "Idol" and she has produced several of his albums.
