Background:
Nicole's career in broadcasting started several years ago. At age 18, she became a morning show host for a rock radio station. It just didn't seem to be the right fit, so she moved to Florida. She began attending City College, a small private college in Fort Lauderdale. Soon after she started school, she started interning at WTVJ, the NBC affiliate in Miami. From there, she moved to Birmingham Alabama. She spent three years there producing newscasts. It was in Alabama she realized she wanted to tell stories. So, she took a reporter/weekend anchor job in her hometown of Salisbury. In 2006, Nicole decided she wanted to live in Colorado and, luckily, landed a job at KOAA.
Nicole has received several awards in her career. She was awarded an Emmy while producing, and several of her stories have been recognized by the associated press.
Personal interests: Exploring Colorado. There is so much this state and our area has to offer. Hiking and road tripping.
Interesting Fact: While living in Florida, Nicole did some behind-the-scenes commercial work for Ms. Cleo, the psychic.
